Tech Academy Students Begin Integrated Project

In the beginning of November, Tech Academy students started the 2004-2005 integrated project.  This school-wide project differs from those at other schools in that groups consist of students from each grade level.  Students get the opportunity to work as a team and with students who they ordinarily would have no interaction with.  This years project is titled "Destination 2105" and deals with the colonization of outer space.  Students completed research, essays, and several activities dealing with life in the universe.  Once all of the tasks of the project were completed, groups gave presentations illustrating what they had learned and sharing their ideas about the colonization of other planets.  Presentations began December 9, 2004, with school-wide presentations held December 14, 2004.

Students used an online webquest to help complete this project.  It includes all of the resources, activities, and assignments that were completed through the course of the project.
