What will I be producing for this project?
What are the requirements for each component?

The website example you will create is to provide the findings and information from all three of these independent studies. You must complete each study and choose your position on the issue. You must play the role of a member of the team and find the common thread between the three that can be used to tie them all together in one coherent and informative website. The site must support your position (and the position of the ICE or ICED). It will be used to share information that is research-based and non-religious in nature; it will convince the public of the firm's position because it is supported with existing data. You must be able to convincingly take a stand on an action that you recommend if you hope to be considered by either council. Both councils have additional information they require to support their positions on the issue.

As part of the campaign, the two groups are also requiring a 1 minute video infomercial to be included in the website. The quality of the infomercial submitted is of great importance in being chosen for the job, but it is not the only thing. Since the chosen company will need to work directly with the appropriate council to counter the other groups' propaganda, the advertising agency will have to demonstrate an understanding of all sides of the issues in the studies and how they relate to each other. If you agree with the ICE that global warming is a real threat, then you will also need to show how global warming relates to another ecosystem. If you believe as the ICED does, you will need to find additional data to support that position. This, of course, cannot be accomplished by participating in the studies alone; additional research will be required.

As always, these documents are posted as a resource.
You have a hard copy of all documents needed. DO NOT print these at school!

Activities associated with the Exploring the Environment Modules
Checklist of products associated with each module
Links to the requirements for these products are located on module process page

Other R&D Activities (research, learning and planning activities)
Additional research relating the topics of Global Climate Change and Global Warming modules to another ecosystem (ICE - support global warming as a threat)
Additional research relating the topics of Global Climate Change and Global Warming modules to evidence suggesting that global warming is not an immediate threat (ICED - refutes global warming as a threat)
Research environmental legislation and create a piece of legislation
Obtain and graph real data on US and global factors related to ecosystems and global warming

Write a detailed paper
    Concepts discussed must include:
Influences on global warming and ecosystem destruction
      Possible solutions to these problems
      Data where appropriate
      Relevant US legislation where appropriate
Persuasive in nature and includes one of the following depending upon position taken
How another ecosystem influences and is influenced by global climate change and the repercussions of this relationship, or
Evidence that shows global warming is NOT happening and/or is NOT a serious threat as well as an explanation as to how the "problems" of global warming will be remedied

Products that communicate knowledge using technology
Develop a Website which includes all digital documents
A Digital Video Infomercial for inclusion in the website
      Electronic visualization using CADD
All information, graphics, animations, audio etc. to support your position and required component files
